Freshly re-opened and hopefully sticking around for a long time. We ordered the wings which were SUPER crispy and really well cooked. The dry rub was good and a bit of lemon with them was great. The pizza was thin crust and very flavorful - we had the Alsatian and loved the combination of meats, caramelized onions, and white cheese. We also had a chicken parm sub with basil, and it was really flavorful - total cost for dinner was around $40 - so not too cheap, but not crazy. A great dinner spot and excited to have them back in business.

Had driven by this place a few times on my way home from work and the exterior had caught my attention. Always on the lookout for a go to pizza spot and I'm glad I was able to finally go in. After reading some of the reviews I was quickly able to see why some people had given it low ratings. These were people with limited understanding of what good pizza entails. When something is good, the last thing you do is water it down. In this case, thin crust pizza should be limited to 1-2 toppings MAX. My preference is always to just eat a plain cheese or margarita to get a true idea of the quality of the base ingredients We had two slices of cheese ($5 each) but huge. The slice held its form and did not flop. It was crispy, tasty, and not too greasy. My only complaint would be that the sauce lacked tang and flavor but it will still a great slice. Boston does not have many legit pizza spots and pales in comparison to NYC, New Haven, and many other east coast cities. Venice pizza is close to that NYC level and I can see them getting to it with a couple more adjustments. I'll 100% be back

I honestly have to say I wasn't expecting to give 5 stars at a pizza place that has been around me all my life and was there way before the renovations. I hadn't been there really before the renovations and my view of the restaurant was based on the old one but it had the SAME name so I never went to try it again. Especially considering the neighborhood was somewhat bad for awhile(and still is). But seriously, they have done a lot and it shows especially in their food. The mashed potato pizza I got was delicious. My only complaint is the customer service, they lack workers so it's hard for them to tend to customers especially if their working on a detailed order at the moment. They are all well trained though and watch the food the entire time and once they complete the task to their perfection then they help you. I think if they just find a good cashier it would help immensely instead of a cook as I saw their job posting and the hours weren't that great only amounted to ~31 hours a week. Lastly, it was a warm day but it was way too cold in the lobby. I suggest bringing another layer.

Easily the best wings I've ever had! Plenty of meat, tender, and incredible flavor. VP puts a great twist on classic favorites and is a refreshing addition to the Dorchester / Savin Hill neighborhood. Other must try's: turkey sub, mozzarella sticks, Greek salad, and their pizzas / pizza dough are pretty amazing. Not to mention they make their own ranch? I think it's safe to consider myself a regular now at Venice Pizza!

Best pizza in DOT and it's not even close. Just a great thin crust pie with fresh ingredients. The crazy thing is their subs are even better than their pizza. Great wings/apps/ etc. too. Big portions. Everything on the menu is worth trying. I go here 1-2 times a week. Staff is awesome, super friendly with good service. Give it a go, you will love it!!
